UPDF, South Sudan People's Defense Forces meet to resolve border tensions
Top UPDF and the South Sudan People’s Defense Forces officials have been meeting to resolve recently border tensions, following a several shooting incidents along the Uganda – South Sudan common border. The meeting at the 4th Division headquarters in Gulu, brought together a South Sudan delegation led by the Chief of South Sudan Defense Forces Gen. Johnson Juma Okot, for a session with the Assistant Chief of Defense Forces Lt. Gen. Wilson Mbasu Mbadi. The meeting followed the shooting of several soldiers, which pose a threat to the relationship between the two countries.
