Worry as animals attacking people near gazetted areas increase
Wildlife Conservationists are calling for more efforts towards the protection of the country’s Chimpanzee population which is in decline. Despite the launch of a national Chimpanzee conservation strategy last year in August, threats to man’s closest primate relative continue. With the country having an estimated population of 5,000 chimpanzees, we ask what has been done in attaining the strategy’s goals in the past one year.
