Marathon raises funds for sanitary pads to keep girls in school
Hundreds flocked to Katabi roads for the Kids of Africa marathon, organized by a non-governmental organization to raise funds for providing sanitary pads to young girls in school. According to the organization, many adolescent girls, especially in landing sites, drop out of school due to difficulties in managing menstrual hygiene. Over 10 schools hope to benefit significantly from the proceeds.
