Uganda is taking bold steps to cut reliance on imports by ramping up local manufacturing. From cables made with Ugandan-refined copper to PVC sourced from the country’s oil byproducts, the localization strategy is not only creating jobs but also ensuring that homegrown raw materials fuel Uganda’s economic growth.
