The September 18 vote is yet again seen as a key test of the NRM party’s ability to manage internal democracy ahead of the 2026 general elections. Today, the NRM Youth and Entrepreneurs League elections are taking place following the cancellation of the results from the polls held on August 27, 2025. The exercise is being conducted in a decentralized manner.
