Bishop Charles Martin Wamika of Jinja Diocese passes away

The Jinja Catholic community mourns the passing of the Bishop of Jinja Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Charles Martin Wamika. Bishop Wamika made history as the first African to head Jinja Diocese since the arrival of the Mill Hill Fathers in the 1800s. He succeeded Rt. Rev. Bishop Joseph Willigers, who led the diocese for four decades.
