Industrialists under their umbrella body, the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA), are exploring ways to tap into the country’s oil and gas industry as Uganda prepares for its first commercial oil production, expected mid next year.
From supplying raw materials to utilizing key infrastructure such as Kabalega International Airport and the Hoima Industrial Park, manufacturers are positioning themselves to benefit from the anticipated oil windfall.
This emerged during an engagement between UMA members and officials from the Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) held today at the Lugogo Show Grounds.
