The highly anticipated National Basketball League playoff quarterfinal clash between the City Oilers and the JT Jaguars has been called off following an appeal by the Jaguars. The team contested the decision to allow the City Oilers to field two of their foreign players — Kurt Curry and Chad Bowie — citing registration inconsistencies. As a result, the playoffs will now tip off tomorrow, starting with a university derby between the KIU Rangers and the UCU Lady Cardinals in the women’s division. Meanwhile, Sommet Basketball Club will face off against the KCCA Panthers at the Indoor Arena in Lugogo.
