Company sets up lapidary facility after striking gemstone deposit

Eco Concrete Ltd, which holds mineral prospecting licenses, has established lapidary facilities in Kisoro District after discovering gemstone deposits in the area. These facilities specialize in cutting, polishing, and transforming rough gemstones into fine jewelry — a development seen as a boost to the country’s value-added drive.
