CONSTITUTION AT 30: Why term limits were introduced

There is a consensus that the desecration of the 1995 Constitution started in 2005 with the amendment to remove term limits to allow President Museveni to contest for a third term. This was after MPs were bribed with Shs5 million each. As he seeks to extend his grip on power for over forty years, former Constituent Assembly delegates regret not having enshrined the articles on both term limits and age limits to make them hard to fiddle with.
