Family, friends, and government dignitaries gathered on Friday at All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero, to pray for the late Mary Busingye Karooro Okurut, who passed away on Monday.
The former minister, who served in various capacities and was the former Woman Member of Parliament for Bushenyi District, succumbed to lung-related complications at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi.
She has been widely praised for her patriotism, tireless service, transparency, and generosity toward many people.
She will be buried tomorrow in Katungu, Bushenyi District.
