Gov’t pledges tax relief for women industrialists at Buikwe park launch

Elsewhere, in a bid to empower women entrepreneurs, the government has pledged to fast-track tax subsidies for women industrialists. The announcement by Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa came during the launch of Uganda’s first-ever women-focused industrial park, the Buikwe MMP Women Industrial Park, a historic development aimed at boosting women-led manufacturing in textiles, fortified foods, and hot pepper, the latter already secured under contract with Chinese buyers.
