Health workers arrested for possessing government drugs

The National Drug Authority has arrested three health workers for allegedly operating clinics illegally and being in possession of government drugs. The crackdown occurred across the districts of Ssembabule, Rakai, Kyotera, Lwengo, Masaka, and Gomba, leading to the closure of 85 unauthorized clinics. The suspects face charges of illegal possession of government drugs. The value of the confiscated medicine is estimated at UGX 92 million.
