The Uganda Insurers Association, in collaboration with the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda, has unveiled a new Insurance Literacy and Market Development Agenda. The five-year initiative, valued at Shs 12.5 billion, aims to significantly boost public understanding and uptake of insurance services.
According to Joann Kisakye, Executive Director of the Uganda Insurers Association, the goal is to raise insurance awareness levels from the current 21% baseline to 70% by the end of the program.
