Kigezi Silverbacks host Kabale Rugby Sevens

Kabale has hosted the Nile Special National Rugby 7s Circuit, attracting a total of 24 teams, comprising 16 men’s teams and 8 women’s teams. The event was hosted by the local rugby club, Kigezi Silverbacks, who played a central role in organizing and supporting the tournament. Dr. Mpora Derek, the chairperson of the organizing committee, said Uganda Rugby Union has taken major strides in promoting grassroots rugby by integrating children into the sport’s development programs.
