WORLD PEACE DAY: Hundreds converge at Makerere playground for Peace Run

Hundreds of youths gathered today at the Makerere Rugby Grounds in Kampala for a peace run to commemorate the United Nations International Day of Peace, observed annually in September. Organized by the National Youth and Students Centre, the run started with peace processions in each district, led by the youth leadership of those districts. The organizers stated that the funds raised from the run will support the National Youth and Students Centre, which aims to enhance leadership programs, self-discovery, innovation, sportsmanship, and more.
