The National Unity Platform Presidential Candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi, was today compelled to abandon his campaign programme in Iganga after police mounted a roadblock that prevented him from advancing beyond his earlier rally in Mayuge. An infuriated Kyagulanyi, who defied the diversions, accused the police of deliberately frustrating his movements, while other presidential contenders are allowed free passage to their campaign venues without obstruction. His ordeal comes on the back of five consecutive days in Busoga, where his campaign trail was disrupted by repeated roadblocks and reroutes through feeder, dusty, and worn-out roads leading to his rallies.
