In Kyotera District, police have arrested four supporters of the Opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) on charges of assaulting police officers and attempted murder.

According to Twaha Kasirye, the Greater Masaka Regional Police Spokesperson, the suspects—while moving in a convoy of Kyotera County MP aspirant Paul Mpalanyi on October 23—allegedly knocked down two supporters of NRM’s Kyeyune Kasolo, Mpalanyi’s political opponent. Our regional correspondent reports more details.
