As his campaign trail rolled into Buyende and Kamuli districts, National Unity Platform presidential flag bearer Robert Kyagulanyi rallied supporters on the need for better road infrastructure in Busoga, improved access to education to tackle high school dropout rates, and the exploitation of mineral resources such as uranium in Buyende. His campaign events, however, were disrupted by long detours and roadblocks imposed by police, which forced his convoy onto feeder roads and delayed access to some venues.
