CNOOC Uganda launches livelihood program for feeder pipeline affected communities

CNOOC Uganda Limited, the operator of the Kingfisher Development Area in Kyangwali, has introduced a livelihood project that will benefit over 900 people directly and indirectly affected by the Feeder Pipeline in Kikuube and Hoima districts, enabling them to earn an income.

The livelihood programme targets 788 Project Affected Persons directly affected by the Feeder Pipeline, which runs from the Kingfisher Oil Development Area in Buhuka, Kyangwali Sub-County, Kikuube District, to Kabaale in Hoima District, as well as 197 people indirectly affected. So far, 394 people have already been trained on the programme.
