Experts have once again emphasized the need for authorities to ensure that mental illness is not criminalized. A survey of 78,500 inmates from across the country revealed that many may be silently suffering from mental health challenges due to a lack of forensic psychiatrists at police stations, during judicial proceedings, and in prisons.
