Government to hold land awareness week amid Sebei, Bugisu conflicts

Due to ongoing land conflicts in the Sebei and Bugisu regions, the government is set to hold a Land Awareness Week to sensitize people about its plan to address the problem. The week-long event aims to educate the masses about land rights and tackle issues related to ownership and boundary disputes, including longstanding wrangles between the Uganda Wildlife Authority and communities in the Elgon region.
