Ugandan authorities urged to protect solid waste workers with safety gear

Authorities in various cities in Uganda have been urged to respect the rights of solid waste workers, including those cleaning city roads, by providing personal protective equipment and contracts. The call comes as Public Services International responds to workers’ outcry for reflector jackets, which are essential to improve visibility to motorists and prevent accidents while sweeping the roads.
