Turning now to health, the Ministry of Health’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Diana Atwine, has warned against wrong diagnoses and inappropriate prescription of drugs—practices that have contributed to increased microbial drug resistance among patients.
According to Dr. Atwine, this escalation has reduced the effectiveness of drugs, costing the lives of Ugandans. She was speaking to members of the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda.
