The National Resistance Movement Electoral Commission now has 14 days to organize fresh elections for the party flag bearer for the Western Uganda MP for Older Persons.
This comes after the nullification of the victory of Jacqueline Mbabazi, the wife of former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi. Jacqulline was initially declared the winner during the August 25th polls at Kololo during the partyās delegates conference.
However, the first runner-up, Patrick Mutabwire, rejected the results and petitioned the partyās Election Disputes Tribunal, citing ballot stuffing, duplicate entries, illegal substitutions, and votes cast by deceased persons.
