Relocating landslide survivors is not a solution – Minister Mayanja

The State Minister for Lands, Sam Mayanja, has expressed the need for the government to establish an institution specifically tasked with finding permanent solutions to the recurring landslides, especially in the Elgon region. He argues that it is inappropriate for the government to relocate people living in landslide-prone areas, as this affects the cultural value they attach to their ancestral homes.
