NRM’s Museveni promises to connect Madi Okollo, Arua to national grid

As the NRM presidential candidate, Yoweri Museveni, extended his campaign to Madi Okollo and Arua in the West Nile region, residents and local leaders presented several challenges. These include upgrading Arua Airfield into an international airport, compensating Kony War victims, extending electricity to rural areas, and industrializing Arua City. Residents also asked the president about the government’s position on the ongoing teachers’ strike, which is negatively affecting learners. They expressed concern about the disadvantaged education system in the region, noting that it will ultimately harm learners in the long run.
