Presidential aspirants rise to 88 as female participation remains low

The number of individuals who have expressed interest in running for the presidential seat has risen to 88, after 37 more aspirants picked up presidential nomination forms on the second day of the exercise. Of these, five were female and 32 were male. The participation of women compared to their male counterparts remains low. On day one, 51 aspirants had expressed interest.
