The Uganda National Women’s Kabaddi team, the She Gladiators, is preparing for the second edition of the World Women’s Kabaddi Cup, scheduled to take place from the 15th to the 20th of this month in Bangladesh. This event marks a historic milestone for the She Gladiators, as it will be their first appearance on the world stage after years of dominating the African continent. Uganda secured qualification by winning the Africa Women’s Kabaddi Cup twice, solidifying their position as the leading women’s kabaddi nation in Africa.
Currently ranked 6th in the world, the She Gladiators’ participation in the World Cup showcases the rapid growth of kabaddi in Uganda and the team’s determination to make a strong impression on the global stage.
