Uganda to discuss youth health challenges ahead of safe motherhood day

Uganda’s young people continue to face some of the toughest health and social challenges, from teenage pregnancies and HIV infections to mental health struggles and limited access to youth-friendly services. As government ministries and development partners push new programs, questions remain about whether these interventions are reaching those most at risk and transforming the lives of adolescents across the country. The government, alongside support partners, will engage in discussions over the next two days on leveraging the youth demographic dividend ahead of the Safe Motherhood Day commemorations.
