The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party intends to increase the amount of funding accessible to residents of the Kampala Metropolitan Area through the Parish Development Model. To this effect, it has earmarked 300 million shillings to be allocated to each ward—an increment from the 100 million shillings currently provided. This is hinged on the condition that the party maintains its hold on power.
The NRM manifesto, launched this afternoon at the Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort, also outlines plans to intensify the fight against corruption through the digitization of the economy, including a proposal for the continuous use of cameras by health workers.
