Drowning claims nearly 250,000 lives globally every year, with over 80,000 being children, and Uganda is no exception. Recent incidents involving students have raised concerns over safety and prevention measures. We spoke to Moses Kalanzi, Executive Director of Swim Safe Uganda, about why drowning remains a silent killer, its major causes, and how individuals and the government can work to prevent such tragedies.
