Capital Market players want review of regulations
The conversation around legislation guiding the private capital space is back in the news and the capital market authority is once again calling for a review of sector laws to accommodate private investors interested in tapping into local capital markets, to not only tap into higher returns but support economic growth. Dickson Sembuya the director, of research and market development, at the capital market authority and a chartered financial analyst, also says despite some good policies recently passed, adjustments are required in some provisions that appear counterproductive.
