Norway ends oil development training program
The Norwegian oil experts who have been operating in many countries including Uganda have closed their operations. PETRAD, an international programme of petroleum development and administration and oil for development programme, has closed after operating in Uganda for 30 years. According to the Norwegian Ambassador to Uganda, Anne Kristin Hermansen, after 30 years of collaboration, Uganda is now in a better position to avoid the oil curse, bedevilling some countries.
