Producers in grain sub-sector want incentives
The East African Grain Council has given its list of incentives that regional governments must put in the next financial year’s national budgets, to boost their business. According to Mr Ian Figgins the head of supply chains at WFP, Uganda possesses great potential as a regional food basket, but must strengthen t’ food systems, but most importantly address long-standing issues such as aflatoxin contamination. This is during its launch of the 12th Annual Agribusiness Expo scheduled for end of this month.
