Kisoro mourns as MP Sarah Mateke passes away at 50
At the home of former State Minister of Defence Sarah Mateke, the mood was somber as many mourned the death of their district woman MP, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 50. She had been their MP for only her second term. At her home in Nyakabingo, Chahi Sub County, Kisoro, the minister's father, Dr. Philmon Mateke, and her mother were speechless with sorrow. The Bishop of Muhabura Diocese, Rt. Rev. Godfrey Mbitse, arrived at their home to pray for the family. The Bishop described the death of Minister Sarah Mateke as a great loss for the community.
