Kawempe leaders agree to name road after Ssegirinya
Kawempe Division councilors today convened to honor the late Muhammad Ssegirinya, the cherished legislator of the Kawempe North constituency and passed a resolution to name a road in Kyebando after him.
However, this majority decision faced dissent from some councilors who advocated for the establishment of a health center as a more fitting tribute to Ssegirinya’s legacy of championing healthcare initiatives in his constituency. The event unfolded amidst a large gathering of mourners, including politicians, friends, and constituents, who gathered at Mbogo Mosque to pay their respects to the fallen leader.
