CSOs blame tax exemptions for low revenue mobilization
Civil Society Organizations have attributed the low revenue mobilization in the country to the increasing tax exemptions and incentives. The organizations are specifically concerned about the lack of clear and transparent processes for accessing, monitoring, and reporting tax exemptions, which is costing the country a significant amount of tax revenue. The call comes as the Uganda Revenue Authority shows progress in tax collections.
