Election petition hearing begins against Kawempe North MP
The hearing of an election petition case against Kawempe North MP Elias Luyimbazi Nalukoola has started, with the petitioner and former aspirant Faridah Nambi taking the stand to give her evidence. Nambi alleges that Nalukoola won the by-election illegally, as the vote tallying was marred by irregularities. The by-election was triggered by the death of Mohammed Ssegirinya.
