Experts urge government to lower internet costs for rural areas
Whereas great strides have been made in Internet connectivity, with 59% of the population having access, a significant number are still excluded. This is due to the cost of connectivity and taxes levied on data. Experts at the Uganda Internet Governance Forum are calling on the government to reduce taxes to make it more affordable for rural people.
