Farmers urge regulation of rice imports
Farmers in Butaleja District have called on the government to regulate the quantity of rice imported into the country, as imports affect the prices of locally grown rice. They claim that this challenge is most pronounced during harvest time when their produce faces competition from cheaper imports.
