FDC approves splinter group’s New Party registration
The Najjanankumbi-based Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has welcomed the decision by the party’s splinter group to register a separate political vehicle ahead of the 2026 elections. FDC Vice Chairperson for the Western Region, Robert Centenary, says the dissolution of the so-called FDC Katonga faction implied a negative motive for Najjanankumbi, disrupting their mobilization activities. Today, the FDC splinter group registered interest with the Electoral Commission to reserve the name for the proposed People’s Front for Freedom party, as reported by Jackson Onyango.
