Fish dealers accuse (FPU) of ring-fencing
Fishermen and fish dealers at Bukungu Landing Site Lake Kyoga in Buyende district have accused the Fisheries Protection Unit Forces of ring-fencing the fishing activity in Lake Kyoga and extorting money from them for release. They held a demonstration over the silverfish fishing ban. Bukungu Town Council mayor, Aribo Mathias Nyadundo says the concern is the need to restore the survival of the fishing community.
