Five women arrested for witch doctor referrals at Mbarara hospital
Police have arrested five women at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital, accusing them of conning and referring bedridden patients to witch doctors for treatment. According to Halson Kagure, the Mbarara Referral Hospital Communications Officer, their security team alerted the police, who arrested the suspects. The suspects have been working as brokers for witch doctors to procure patients.
