IDLE AND DISORDERLY: Offense still on law books despite a court ruling against it
The Director of Public Prosecutions, Jane Frances Abodo, has announced that charges of being idle and disorderly against those arrested for participating in anti-corruption demonstrations will be dropped. According to Justice Abodo, the offense still remains on the law books despite a constitutional ruling against it and can therefore still be applied until it is officially repealed. However, the DPP Abodo, an administrative decision has been taken not to prefer the charges of idle and disorderly anymore.
