Illegal fishing threatens lake Victoria fish stocks
Fishing experts are blaming the decline in fish stock sizes on Lake Victoria on the continued use of illegal fishing practices.
This comes amid intensified operations by fisheries officials to impound mono-filament gill nets, which pose a serious threat to marine life. Several individuals involved in illegal fishing activities have also been apprehended.
