Uganda Generals gear up for inaugural Africa flag football championship
The Uganda national American Football team, the Uganda Generals, has intensified training ahead of the inaugural Africa Flag Football Championship, scheduled to take place in Cairo, Egypt.
Uganda is among the participating nations, alongside hosts Egypt, Ghana, South Africa, Nigeria, Cameroon, Morocco, and Ivory Coast. Team Uganda is set to depart this Thursday for the tournament, which runs from June 20 to 22, 2025.
The Generals also hope to use the championship as part of their preparations for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, where American Football is set to make its debut.
