Kyagulanyi says ready to contest in 2026 polls
Robert Kyagulanyi, the President of the National Unity Platform Party, today addressed the media, reflecting on the significant events that shaped 2024. Key among these were the youths-led campaigns against corruption, symbolized by the "March to Parliament" movement, and the fallout between the party and his former Deputy President for Buganda, Mathias Mpuuga. Kyagulanyi also confirmed his intention to challenge the incumbent President Museveni for Uganda's top leadership in the forthcoming 2026 general elections. The media address took place at his residence in Magere, Wakiso District.
