Clerics break silence on Besigye’s continued detention
Sticking with matters in court, the spokesperson of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, Jaquelyn Okui, says they commenced processing veteran opposition politician Dr. Kizza Besigye's file on 11th February. Okui explained that they had established substantial evidence to sustain charges of treason and misprision of treason. However, religious leaders in attendance during the proceedings stated that it was time to speak out for the voiceless, as they showed concern about Besigye’s state of health.
