Lands Minister Nabakooba reveals a grand plan for municipal, city roads
The government has initiated the process of acquiring USD 750 million to implement what they call the "Uganda Cities and Municipalities Infrastructure Development" project. This will lead to improved infrastructure projects in the 10 cities that were created and an additional 15 municipalities. Judith Nabakooba, the Minister of Lands, Housing, and Urban Development, reported on the progress of the implementation of "Uganda Support to Municipal Infrastructure Development," stating that over 80 km of roads will be completed by December this year.
